Elon Musk's Tony Stark 3D Interface for Designing SpaceX Rockets
Designing 3D objects in a 2D manner have not always been the easiest or the most natural way to go about designing, but it now looks like SpaceX’s engineers have found an innovative and futuristic way to challenge the usual customary methods. Much like the technology that Iron Man uses in the movie, SpaceX’s engineers have achieved the same technology by combining NX with a Leap Motion controller that allows them to zoom around and review 3D models without touching a mouse or keyboard. This new and fun way to interface with a very complex model is a major breakthrough in design and manufacturing. A concept can be taken from the mind and translated really and intuitively into a 3D object on the computer with greater ease than currently available. Get ready, this new method is going to revolutionize design and manufacturing in the 21st century!
