NX9 Analysis – Cool New Stuff!
For geometry idealization, it has only gotten better. The ability to move edges now makes it really easy to fix small slivers and such by just “moving” them into each other. Combine this with the current geometry morphing capabilities (global shaping for you surfacing guys) and you can do quite a bit.
On the NASTRAN side, for you dynamic folks, there are some major updates as well. Random Vibration will output Von Mises stress now directly. No more having to process using API’s, other products, etc. Also, composites will output ply lamina stress/strains in dynamics and all solutions, not just the linear static solutions.
This is only a short list of the features. I’m sure as I continue to use it, I’ll find many others. Give NX9 a try. I think you will really like some of the new features...
